few quick questions...

looking at heading to the u-pull next week, need a few parts for my 97 5.0 explorer, im looking at getting a front driveshaft(6bolt kind), front passenger side axel, and both control arms on the passenger side.

my question is, do i have to get all these off a 5.0 explorer?
what are my year ranges on these?
also, are there some rare things i should keep my eyes open for?
thx guys

Me personally I would not buy control arms from a salvage yard. The chance on the ball joints being bad are to great. You do now you have to remove the torsion bar to get the lower control arm off. However if you are dead set on ones from a salvage yard any 4wd '95-'01 will be the same.

The drive shaft will have to come from a 5.0 Explorer or Mountaineer. Be warned that there are two different length front drive shafts.

The upper control arm does not have replaceable ball joints.

Not even all the MOOG have replaceable ball joints.
