Hi my name is kody I just signed up. Im doing a diesel conversion into my 90 f-250 with a 6.9 and e40d. I really need to know how wide the adapter ring is between the flexplate and crank. Some specs would be nice or a picture. Thank yu guys. Im 18 and I've put all my money and time into this project I need help badly. Any advice would help I've searched everywhere and can't find one or any specs thank you so much.
Got a bit more info? What was originally in the truck?
Are you going gasser to diesel? or C6 to E4OD? or a manual to an E4OD? Was the truck originally a gasser with an E4OD? (Gasser E4OD is different bellhousing than a diesel E4OD)????
My truck was 2wd and a gasser with the e40d the parts truck was 4wd and diesel with the t-19 I used the motor and 4wd out of my parts truck. I just bought a 4wd drive and diesel transmission at the junkjunk yard that came out of a 93. I married the motor and trans yesterday on the ground and I went to slide the convertor forward and it hit the block. I need to know to the thickness of the ring adapter between the flexplate and crank. I can make one at are machince shop if someone could tell me the thickness. Thank you guys
Welcome to the forum Kody. I think he's talking about the spacer plate that goes on the end of the crankshaft between the crank and the flywheel. It's about a 1/2 inch or so thick. I've got an old one but it will be a couple days before I can get back to the shop to find it. Maybe someone has one laying around they could measure.
Galute your right. Thank you very much. I've called everyone in town no one has it. I need my truck so I can go to college in june. It looks so good. I just need that spacer. Like I said before I can make one if I new the exact thickness. Im worried if its to long it will knock my crank out
Yes sir that is that part I need. Thank you so much. Please anyone do you have one laying around and could measure one out for me. This would mean the world to me.
