Three horses and three riders is a really good sized group for backcountry riding daytrips. Someday in the future, I would like to start doing some overnight trips and three horses for two people is a good ratio for short trips. Frankly, I have no interest in traveling for too long

I think I am going to build a couple racks on the side of my trailer so that I can haul some of my steal corral pannels. They are heavy, awkward, and complete overkill; but I already have them and they didn't cost me much

There is a really good system that uses light weight aluminium panels and collapsable mounts that go on the butt side of the trailer.
Fold-a-Rack Portable Corral Panel Trailer Hangers

The regular corral panels that I use around home are taller and stonger then needed with more cross bars then required.

Jason I think you need to invest in an alum welder, or at least become friends with one. You should be able to order some alum square tubing and make your own panels. No real need to powder coat. Just thinking, what about those portable fence enclosures? Something like that would work enough. Probably cheap too if you find an out of the way site with them up.

I guess tho putting it into perspective they are not that much. 100' for $1400, when you compare to something like what I am shopping for. Have you ever looked at in car DVD/deck combos. $1900 for a kenwood excelleron 9960. That there is what expensive is. Trying to find something from china that is remotely comparable in features still puts it in the $400 range, but then the reliability/quality issues come in to play.

My dad has a Lincon MIG that that will weld aluminium, the only thing he is missing is the proper gas. I have told him that I would pay for half of the bottle and the first refill, but no dice so far
I don't know if I could make the fence panels for what I could buy them for, but I would like to build a hay rack for my trailer and aluminium would cut back on the weight.

Short and sweet. Just the way I like it. Did manage to stop at a couple auto dealers though.
