My front end gets a terrible wobble that starts out small after hitting a bump in the road and gets uncontrollable to the point where I have to stop. Speeding up also seems to get it to stop. Whole truck shakes seems to be coming from the front left tire/suspension. Recently rotated tires and became more frequent.
I'm sure it has something to do with suspension just don't know where to start. I have a 93 F250 4x4 with the much hated Dana 50 TTB. (trying to find straight axle). 6" suspension I believe they are superlift brakets for front. They have cracked but rewelded and welds seem to be holding. Sorry can't describe it better.
Jack it up and start checking wheel bearings, ball joints, tie rod ends and any mounting point. If all is well, swap tires around, might be a sidewall separation in the tire, or broken belt in tire.

or... take it to an alignment shop and ask for a FREE alignment check. Most do this. Before they do an alignment, a good tech should shake the front end down to find any potential problems, ask to see this process, and play dumb. my .02...
I had the same problem with my 94 with a Dana 60. The best thing I've found is balanced tires and a steering stabilizer. A lot of the problem is that the tie-rod can roll forward and backward, which makes the steering very loose and lets the tires move back and forth. I used to have serious death wobble, then I put on the stabilizer. Now I can run my biased 38" TSLs and just have a minor shake. (Still not balanced)
Well it got really bad on the way home from work this morning. So I took a peak under and found one of my lift brakets that connect to the TTB's pivot points are cracked near the point where it connects to the frame. It's cracked before I took them off and had my bro weld them back up. Even put small gussets on it. Terrible design. I called superlift (I think that's what brand they are) and they want $320 for a new set. Ridiculous. I bought the truck with those on there so no warranty and don't know what brand.
my '95 does the same thing with small bumps and it'll almost take a tire straight off the ground if it's bad enough, have done everything except the steering stabilizer idea and the problem remains. truck is undriveable because of it.

I was planning on taking it 200 miles for some wheeling and this stupid thing screwed me. I'd love to just swap it out for a dana 60 but don't have the funds for a donor truck yet.
same here thats what i'd love to do..but in the mean time i'm gonna try that steering stabilizer idea..i have one that came free with my lift kit but its made for a non-lifted truck..how ignorant..
and its deffinately time for me to throw in some new tie rods...the shaking has also forced me to replace motor mounts because of how violent it got at times
That sucks. This bracket has broken before and I welded it back up and it really helped. Check all your bolts on it. I need to find a way to jack up the front and let the suspension hang to tighten it up.
i put mine on a lift and double-nutted and super tightened every bolt with loctite and they'll last maybe a mile and all loosen right up again..i've nearly given up on the truck completely..
