Timing/ACT-Weekend Wrenching
I just re-did the timing on my truck...93 with 140K(miles) on it and it was sitting at about 8 degrees...I bumped it up to about 11.
I also decided to swap out the ACT after reading someone else's post about theirs being super fouled. I was shocked when I pulled the sensor and found it fouled beyond belief. I could not believe that the truck did not throw a code. I don't know how the thing could function the way it was covered with gooey black gunk. Anyways, a new one is in place. I reset the PCOM and away I went. So Far So Good, the truck seems to idle better as well as have smoother acceleration. I will see what my mileage is like after my next fillup...Ouch...tomorrow...I am praying to the Gas Pump gods to give me a break. Up here in Canada we are at 88 cents a litre( 3.50 Cdn per gallon)
