Howdy boys! Just hangin' out with junior in the middle of my 4 day weekend.

All the snow is still here and it doesn't look like it's going anywhere anytime soon either. It's in the teens today and after getting up into the 20's Sunday and Monday the bottom drops out next Tuesday. Supposed to be single digits for a few days. We definitely have an official winter this year.

3 down and 1 to go then 4 off for me. Glad to see all the Hoosiers are up and running. My wife got through her surgery yesterday with no issues other than normal after surgery stuff she had a deviated septum repaired to she can breath a little easier.

I'd have to agree with that.

How much did you end up with Dave? We got lucky, just a side-swipe here. About 3-5, but it was blowing so much, hard to tell.

I haven't measured but I'd say about 16 maybe 18 inches in the level spots. The official measured amount at O'Hare airport was 20.2 inches. Third worst in Chicago's recorded history.

Howdy everyone!

Well...It sure looks nice outside with all that sunshine...but holy moly...is it cold with that stiff wind blowing!

I ended up having to clean some more of the back yard for the doggies...the 2 stage is getting a pretty good workout with the ice "crust" on and inside all the snow...but it sure does like chewing up snow and throwing it out!!!...THANK GOD!!!

Nice pictures Dave...WOW...you got more than we did for sure!

Huggy...glad the wife is feeling okay...my FIL had that done late last year...he "sniffed" for about 2 months...but feels much better now!

Well the funeral for Tracey's aunt is over...it was a nice service...70 is way to young to be taken...but He does have a plan that we simply do not understand...at least she is no longer suffering from the cancer...so she is definitely at peace...and the sun was definitely shining down today...she had a very strong faith and many people that loved her...she will be missed...my in-laws are driving back towards Gulf Shores Alabama now...what a week for them to have to come back too...they spend 3 months down there and the rest up here.

On a good note...my FIL took our prop for our boat down there to get refinished...the boat is a 1999 and we've never had the prop refinished...we have a few small knicks in it so figured it was time...the guy down there did it for $45 and then my FIL picked up a spare one for $50...not too bad!...he was looking at a used stainless steel one for $200 which wasn't that bad...but since we have had this boat/motor since 99 and the aluminum one is holding up nicely...why spend the extra $$$ we figured...plus we've got 2 now for basically 1/2 what that stainless one would have set us back...now if we fished lakes with lots of stumps and such...well we'd rethink our decision...but the lake we fish and ski on is one we know very well...so...

Since I took the day off today for the funeral...I've been working on my taxes...got them mostly done...just have to wait for mid-February to file since the late tax decision/law by Congress is holding up filing them...I'll have to wait for the next "update" of the tax software to be sure I guess...

How's everyone's Friday going???

I feel like cracking my first brewsky but I have to run Zoe over to her friends here in a bit...so the libations will have to wait a tad more...that's cool...I can drink more than!

Joe.

Howdy Joe! I could use a cold one, myself, but have to work tomorrow, so I'll do without. Dave, I saw video on the news from Chicago. What a mess.

thanks God this day is over Just spent the last 2 hrs stuffing 1100 envelopes for a mass mailing our general manager thought needed to be done. just about everyone pitched in and got it done so was not too bad. the Crisis was that they handed me 1100 envelopes to run thru the postage meter I was the right guy for the job, By the time they found out that if you run something thru a postage meter and it is dated it must be in the mail that day or the stamp is no good, I was Done!. and the govt wonders why people think they are incompetent. Anyways, gonna head home bring in another rick of firewood and wait for our whopping 2 inches of snow to get here see ya'll tomorrow!
