firewall crack in engine comparment
i noticed the plate in the engine compartment around the master cylinder seems to have detached from the firewall. the clutch pedal wont return to the top of its stroke. i checked the clutch rod and bushing both are still ok. when i press the clutch i can see the plate get pushed even further away from the firewall.
do these reinforcement kits correct the plate detachment in the engine compartment?
can i weld the plate back to the firewall??
someone who had dealt with this before please help!!!!

do these kits install from inside the cab or on the outside?
with the plate being detached in the engine compartment would the much cheaper small kit be enough to fix my problem or would it require the bigger kit??

F150 clutch master cylander braket seperation - FixYa
(To install the small reinforcement bracket). From inside the cab
you remove the two nuts holding the clutch master cylinder to the plate
that is pulling away from the firewall.
Install the bracket over the two studs of the clutch master cylinder and reinstall
the two nuts. The bracket clamps the under the hood plate the clutch master
cylinder is attached to, to the firewall.
This repair works as long as the firewall has no major cracks.
This is a picture of the small reinforcement bracket.
so the correct part number for the small bracket that is pictured in the last post is e3tz-7k509-a ?
