Hard Starts

Have a 2000 SD and if I let it sit for more than 2 days it acts as though it has lost it's fuel prime when trying to fire up and am getting codes 1211 & 1209. checked my ipc and it is wet with oil, so am thinking it's bad, but when trying to start with it unplugged it won't start or run even after engine is warmed up... any ideas would be great !! Thanks

The truck should start or run fine with the ICP unplugged. Check the wiring to the sensor for any signs of chaffed or burnt insulation that may be causing a short. When you do get it running, try wiggling the wires to the ICP and see if it stalls out.

Thanks for the response, I checked wiring harness and all looks good with no apparent shorts, even checked with voltmeter. I did forget to mention that I am running a Edge programmer and it appears to be working fine in all settings. Even with the issue with the ICP, I'm still wondering what would be causing the hard starts after sitting a couple of days. Batteries are new with good cranking speed, just acts like it's been run out of fuel......
