Can anyone provide me a diagram for the fuse box on a '61 F100?
Still no brake lights. Do they have a separate fuse? I have blinkers.
have brakes but no brake lights
still trying to resolve.
Its hard to crawl under the dash when your 6'3 and 235.
oldfordcoupe - bought the switch today. in running continuity test to both wires neither one of them lit the light. i figure it must be before the switch.
thickster - explain, sorry for my ignorance
Hey Brian, I have a 61 Shop manual, Group 13 Lights, Instruments, and Accessories shows a red wire coming off of the headlamp switch that feeds the stop light switch. It looks like a 15 amp fuse protects the switch. It then comes off of the stop switch back tp the headlamp/fuse switch then to the stop lamps.

Its kew man electrical is a PITA. What I meant was the wire that activates the stop lamps, you know how there is two wires on the pressure switch. If you apply power from a 12v source to the wire that activates the stop lamps will they light up?
brake lights working
it was a bad switch.
brake lights - check = bad switch
engine running great - check = bad fuel pump
emergency brake - check = PB Blaster on frozen up cables
what's next??? time will tell.
i guess things go bad after 50 years - go figure
44,000 original miles, great barn find.
