No kidding! The reverse gear would up to it, too!

Thanks for the link! Helps a lot. Except my rear axle code is 26, which doesn't even register on that list, but I read elsewhere that is a 4.88 ratio...my goodness, THAT has GOT to go eventually, methinks. Anyone have any suggestions for what I should swap that monster out with? I would like to GET to 55mph at all, let alone efficiently, haha.

Hey Carefree,
I'd go with a Dana 60 3.73...has good get-up-and-go but won't be screaming going down the highway...I'm cruising nice at 60mph at a decent rpm.You can still tow too...

Thank you, that sounds like just what I want out of it. I want it to still be an F250 in all respects, but this 4.88 ratio is just ridiculous. It seriously won't go faster than 60 before the engine goes too fast to breathe.
