AFE Intake

I took my truck ('07 F350) in for some routine service work. Hours later the call comes in with options. The last service dept (?). put the air filter in backward and was successful. They forced it in breaking everything in including the housing around the filter itself. Once it dawned on them, that they did something wrong. (Here the good Part). They duct taped in together and sent it on its way. Anyway, I still don't have the truck back as we are waiting for parts. I opted for an Afe intake with an Afe manifold. Can anyone give any insight as to what I can expect from the truck.

I see some turbo's in ur future with an AM intake on there.

There isn't going to be much to be gained with an a/m intake on our trucks. We have more then sufficient air flow with the stock intake and you can't beat the filtration of it either, although, if it makes you feel better the AFE does have the better filtration track record of your a/m intakes. Only one that perhaps surpasses it is the S&B intake, but AFE is a better choice then what some people choose.

Now if you are going for looks or something else, then that's a whole nother discussion in of itself.
