Distributor question...

Hi guys - quick question...does anyone know if a distributor from a 302 (5.0) will fit a 351w (5.8)?

Don't hold me to this, but I don't think they will;
IIRC it is because the gear is made of different metal-Otherwise I see no issue with using one....I know most chevy guys use the bronze 302 dizzy gear so it doesn't eat the cam up, as the cast ones do....

No it will not.
Different size shafts for the distributor and the oil pump.

The 302 dist has a different shaft , so no it won't , as far as gears go , if its got a steel roller cam , then you need a steel gear , cast cam , cast gear , i belive you can use a bronze gearwith both.....Lew
