CPS Connector

When I got my new black CPS and replaced the gray one I discovered that the retaining clip on the connector was broken off. That could explain a lot about the stalling problem I had. What steps can I take to fix this?

You can get a replacement connector and splice it in. If it were me, I would probably try to use a small zip-tie on it. With the CPS being a 90 degree connector, I am pretty sure you could get a good hold on it with a zip-tie.

I did exactly what Ken suggested to my wife's truck. I replaced hers with a black CPS and discovered that her clip was already broken before I even touched it...honest.

Zip ties seemed to work nicely. Of course out here in the desert, zip ties don't really last that long so I'll need to order a new plug from Ed when he gets back in action.

The list is starting to grow....

Another vote for a replacement tie in from Ed. Could as well been your problem, with moisture and grime and all.
