carb and intake

I have built a 351m up. It has a 351m crank(heard they were stronger). I have bored it .030 over with keith black flat top pistons. I have a summit cam that is a lil better than a stock cam. I have headers and run out through 2 1/2 flowmasters. currently i have the 2150 motorcraft and stock manifold. I want to put a 4 bareel carb and intake. also does ingition such and msd help any with power or gas mileage right now im getting 7 mpg. But gas mileage isnt really a concern.for a carb i was thinkin g about an edelbrock 600cfm and performer intake or a holley 650 double pumper and i guess to match the name a weiand intake.

It shouldn't be a 351C crank, the Cleveland had smaller main journals, so it wouldn't fit a 351M/400 block. From what I understand, the aftermarket ignition systems help both power and gas mileage, but I've always just run the old Ford Duraspark. It's just too cheap and easy.

The number on the crank matched a 351c. im pretty sure that it isnt a 351 c motor because i think the numbers on the head match a 351m.

A Cleveland engine with M-block heads. The heads will interchange, but the cranks won't. See if the area behind the distributor is about an inch taller where the intake bolts to the block. If it is higher, then it's an M-block. If it is about flush, then it is a Cleveland.
