I just need to install new u-joints and press on a new center support bearing for good measure. I'm getting driveshaft vibes and u-joints are sloppy.

Two piece driveshaft: There are three U-Joints, and you may have a problem at autoparts stores finding one of the correct types.

One or possibly all three U-Joints (depends on the application), have two different sized cups. Many autoparts stores do not list this joint for 1960's trucks, but they usually have it.

C5TZ4635F .. U-Joint / 2 cups are 1330's, two are 1310's / Spicer part number: 210392-X / This U-joint was used into the 1990's for some applications.

Take the Ford & Spicer part numbers with you when you go to autoparts stores, they can cross them over to the brands they sell.

The only other possible F100 U-joint is common, as it was also used in Passenger Cars. All four cups are the same (1310's).

D9TZ4800A .. Driveshaft Center Support Kit-includes the bearing, shims, brackets and large U shaped rubber support (that by now, is prolly history, as it age cracks and gets oil soaked).

Available from Ford and autoparts stores (I don't have an autoparts store p/n). Fits: 1965/79 F100/250's, some F350's / Misc 1980/91 F100/250's.

Thanks Bill! It sounds like I would have had one hell of a time finding u-joints! Don Sanderson Ford will probably know the part as they're big into vintage Fords. Did you happen to see my earlier post about DSO code?

Sanderson has 1000's of obsolete parts...623-842-8682. I list them so often as a source for parts, I memorized their number.

And...while C5TZ4635F is obsolete, according to the FoMoCo dealer part locator, Sanderson has 14 of them... and 1 D9TZ4800A that is not obsolete.

If you aren't in a hurry for D9TZ4800A, you can buy it cheaper from an FTE Ford dealer parts dept sponsor > >

MSRP: $96.83 // PARTSGUYED.COM price: $69.72 / PartsGuyEd = Horizon Ford in Seattle WA
