2000 Explorer ABS System & Light
The ABS light has come one and stays lit. The local independent shop tried to trouble shoot and gave up saying the code it was showing was a "hard" code and Ford has not released any info on this code. Don't know the code. Way passed warrenty.
Is this a Factory only fix or is my favorite shop just limited in the computer area?
Would appreciate any info on this situation.

Hi Clipper and welcome to FTE 
I would guess that the shop that scanned your system probably doesn't have the latest software for their scanner or just isnt familiar with the system.
If you can get it scanned again and let us know what codes are retrieved I'm sure someone here can tell you what they mean.
