what will cause this trans code
i got a trans fault leaving my house and it is
P0731 Gear I Incorrect ratio
why the hell would i get a code saying my 1st gear is wrong?
i was in 4x4 then went to 2wd and 50ft later this

That is a first gear slip code. That is why it incates the wrong ratio. Could have been set by accident. Usually means transmission hard fault though. Clear it. If it comes back you are going to need a transmission specialist....
