Oil filter question...
First DIY oil change planned for tomorrow. The International parts dealer suggested a Luber-finer oil filter replacement at $12.64 vs. the $29.00 my local Ford dealership wanted.
Do you see any issues with this filter? I checked and it is the replacement version specific to Ford.
Alternative suggestions welcome.

Aftermarket oil filters can cause problems when used in the stock oil filter housing. Basically the filters are not the same size as the stock units.
International does carry OEM filters that are the same as Ford filters (made by the same manufacturer). These are OK to use.
Basically many of us feel that it is poor economy to save 10 dollars on a 30K + truck.

Pick up a 5 gallon bucket to drain into along with the filter and oil and you'll have everything you need for a 15 minute oil change. Just don't forget to remove the bucket before driving away.

Yes it was, but a few nice bath towels, a powerwash and a year of hot Southern California sunshine and the stain is gone. Not one of my finer moments. My 5 year old heard all kinds of new words that day.
