Hey everybody,
I am looking at a cheap used truck to use biodiesel with (I was looking at a Ford-F250 1991) and I read, with Pre 1992 diesels, you need to swap the natural rubber gaskets and tubes for synthetic ones. How hard is it to change the tubes and the O-Rings on a 7.3 litre IDI engine and what other things need to be swapped out with a 1991 ford truck with biodisel.
indeed, the bio section will help but yes, you need different lines and the only o rings you would need to change are the ones on your injector caps. also need to do new return lines.
Rubber return lines and hose and fuel transfer pump hoses for 87-up. In the warmer weather I run 100% with no ill effects and I still have natural rubber transfer pump lines. Over time though they can get soft and weep fuel, when they do change 'em.
