Hi there Michiganders. I'm new around here. But anyway, I live in Alto, have a few Fords and love to play with them. In the summers I go to Silver Lake all the time. I don't always hit the dunes, but have a seasonal campsite at Timberlake Resort. If you're a member there and have seen a guy driving around in a John Deere Gator, that's me from 243! So stop by the Tiki Bar sometime.
I was also a seasonal at Tyler creek for 15 years, and am a current member of the American Legion in Alto. I really good friend of mine also is an owner of Alto Bar. Small world!!
When at the Alto Bar notice the Elwood mug (with the Ford logo by the way) on the shelf. (I know Kelly as well) Heck, you probably know me, of me, or my brother. Mike Blackport is whats on my license, but everyone round here calls me Elwood.
Yep Kelly is good people. You could say I've known her for a while, been to both kids graduations parties. Still hang out with her X husband, he's a good friend.
I haven't been by there in a while, living down by Detroit now is kind of hard to cruise up and have a few cocktails......I'll be by this summer sometime though.
I'll be up at the dunes opening wekend and memorial weekend for sure. Hope to meet up with you there. The girl I'm seeing now has never been up there so she'll be hooked after we go the first time.
Talk to you soon.
If you make it into the bar tell Kelly, Rich Yonkers says HI!!
No problem Rich, I'll tell her next week when I stop in there. Or sometimes I see her at another bar, Uccellos with Red and we play Texas Holdem. (NTN Video)
buddy of mine stopped in alto bar for a beer once, went to the bar minding his own business. apparently he was told by the bartender to finish his beer and leave because "people like him get killed in places like this." and he's like 6'4", 250, and beard down to his chest.
anyways, we make it silver quite a bit. might be a little less this year, probably be following the ATV MX circuits a little closer.
