V10 rusting bad

V10 rusting bad
I am a diesel mechanic in IN. I worked on a 1999 ford 350 with a v10 that is rusted very bad.
2 of the exhaust studs on both sides broke. The nuts are rusted to were they are round and had to torch them off. The block is all rusted and flaking off.
It has 40,000 mile on it and is in a grage 95% of the time . They are retired and use the truck to pull the camper.And it was under coated.
Ford said they havent had any complaints of that so they wont do anything about it .
Anyone had this problem too? Thanks
