Zowie. Incomprehensible. I would love for an investigative reporter to do an extended article on these folks. What they do for a living, who do they hang with, how they detach themselves from the bed covers each morning, etc.

I'd also wager that virtually every single one of those people does drugs of some sort (beyond alcohol).

It really amazes me to see the extremes people will go to just to prove how different they are. Obviously they don't realize that their actions scream, "i'm not normal", as if that is something to be proud of. Then they hate people who don't or won't accept them as normal. I guess I'm just old fashioned.
