tailgate will work, but you need all the hardware that goes to the bed, the latches are different.some used cables for the sides, some had folding linkage, depends on the year. if his gate won't open, there are 2 little plastic clips in there that break that tie the linkage to the handle. you have to reach up behind the handle with a pair of pliers, and pull towards the center of the truck, on both rods

how much you want for the tranny, crossmember, clutch, and pressure plate.
