<2005 vs 2007<
I'm looking at getting a new (used) Sport Trac. For not much difference in money but with more milage I can get a newer style (2007 or latter).
Looking at a 2005 with 44K miles vs a 2007 with 58K miles. 2007 is about 2K more. Is it worth the difference?
I like the look of the outside of the newer but not a huge fan of the new interior.

If you do much off-roading or want to do much modifying you'll be better served with the Gen 1 ('01-'05). The ride/comfort is likely to be better in the Gen 2 ('07-'10). If I was going Gen 2 I'd opt for the V8 which from reports I hear gets as good as or better MPG than the V6.
