Hey Guys
My truck got recalled for the Body Control Module 10S14.
I called the dealer and they told me it is just a Reflash?
Is this true? I thought the Module was bad and needed replaced, not just a flash.
I asked what a flash would do? He said change peramiters!
I really dont want a flash because i have had no real issues with this truck.

It's not a reflash, however, IDS (scan tool) must be used to check the internal BCM board serial number. The lastest software version for IDS must be used 71.01 or higher for the scan tool to be able to check the BCM. IDS will come back with either a "BCM is OK" message or "Replace BCM". Apparently some of the boards were contaminated during production at the supplier.
