Hey all, I have an '02 7.3 so I'm not on this forum much but I do need some help for my son. He just bought an '04 6.0. Where is the plug for the block heater? Mine is on drivers side near the tow hook but he said he can't find his anywhere. It may not even have one on it? I'd sure appreciate some help!!!!!
Corey
As you are not in a COLD state, he prob does NOT have one. If he did, it would be tucked inside the passenger side tow hook. To be sure, look up above the starter to find the place where one would plug in to.
If he doesn't have one, he can buy one at your local NAPA Auto Parts store.
Just as stated, it's on the passengers side. Mine was coiled and secured back near the engine for some reason when I bought the truck.... Have fun digging around! LOL
As BPofMD said you probablly don't have the power cord but the heater is installed. Just above the starter.
Look in the tech folder for the routing when you get a cord. Sixth from the bottom of the first post. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/3...ch-folder.html
The factory is really good at HIDING the cords on these trucks. It took the dealership an hour to find mine when it was new. I wonder when the trucks are coming down the line the guys are taking bets on whether the customer can find the plug in??
