When i changed my shocks I noticed the drivers side C bushing from the radius arm was missing. How hard is it changing the C bushings. The truck is at my deer lease which is 5 hours from home. It looks straight forward but I was kinda nervous changing at the lease. Any tips would be great. Truck is a 1978 F150 4X4 with a 5" lift.
Get the C-bushings with a 7 degree offset since you have a lift over 4".
Mine gave me a fight. I had to get a coil spring compressor, 2ea 5-ton jacks and a easy out since a bolt busted on me. It took me 16 hours with no help but everything that could go wrong did go wrong. The book has you jack up the truck and push the axle forward to get the radius arm away from the radius arm bracket on the frame. I have been in my transfer case so I have already removed the rivets that hold the radius arm brackets to the frame. I unbolted those and removed the radius arms. It's a b**** to get the holes lined up afterwards though.
