yes the inner fenders are the same for 65-66 trucks. The only big difference i see between my 65 and 66 is the radiator mounting points. It will fit with minor mods.
Bill; two things where is the parts number on a radaitor located; is it on the face area to determine which is which. And second; if no legible parts number; how do you determine the differents!
CustomCab has a '65 support, but needs a 61-64 support. I've got a new 61-64 re-pop (C2TZ-16138-G) and was thinking it might be easier to modify the '65 support for my '66.
Have two 65's and each with a different radiator, radiator support, and inner fenders, and learned during my infancy stage of salvage shopping they are not inner changeable, cannot mx and match. Not sure why, perhaps because of the time/month of production, or that 1 originally came with a 6 cyl. and the other a V8. Topic has come up on number of occasions, suggest run a search and narrow search field to the 61-66 forum. Bookmarked a thread by member bluestang65 may find helpfull.

The ID (not the part) number is stamped on one of the mounting flanges, or on a brass tag swagged onto the top tank.
There is only one radiator for 1965 F100/250 352 2WD's. Ford part number: B9TZ-8005-K
There is only one radiator for 1966 F100/250 352 2WD's. ID number: C6TA-8005-AC or AE / Ford part number: C6TZ-8005-E
These two radiators do not interchange because the mounting flanges are in different locations.
And, since the radiators do not interchange, neither do the radiator supports.
Well my 66 F250 had a Chrysler radiator mounted in front of a 302, who knew???? I do know the two have single year radiator applications, but certainly things can be made to work with what you have, unless you want to be original replacement compliant.
I just did this with my 66 F100. I took a core support from a 1965 F250....not sure about the engine. It bolted right on to my 66, but the two hickups were the radiator and the battery tray. I ended up mounting my F100 radiator to the F250 core support by fabing up to flat plates. Pretty easy. As for the battery try, I ended up making it out of wood....kind of ghetto, but it looked pretty good after a coat of epoxy and black paint. Anyways, I can send you pics if you like.

"I'm looking at a '65 core support for my '66 F100 2wd. Doesn't it have the same inner-fender mounts as a '66?
"I'm thinking all I'll have to do is modify the radiator & battery mount.. does that sound right"
I seen some very dull stamp letter & numbers on the radiator supports running along or should I say across the upper portion facing outwards on several; but never could determine their pattern or reason for being there!
Hi everyone, I've been reading and obviously this is an issue. I need a replacement radiator support for my 66 f100 2wd. I don't mind doing some modifications to the radiator mounts and battery tray. Which support will work? Which year support should I buy? Lmc has the 61-64 support for a f100 2wd will that mount up to the frame correctly? If I have to make some mods to the fender mounts that's ok. I'm just confused on which to buy. Any help is greatly appreciated.
