Ford part numbers
I need the two rear backup light sockets for my 78 F-250 Styleside P/U. I picked up a pair of aftermarket sockets, but the bulb fell out of the socket when I drove the truck. This didn't seem right. So, I'm looking for NOS parts but the suppliers want official Ford part numbers. First: does anyone have a number for these sockets for the single filament bulbs? And second, how is the best way to get these numbers in the future for all the rest of the stuff that will go bad?

The best way to and sometimes only way to get part #'s is to get ahold of NumberDummy. Try a pm or maybe he'll chime in here in a sec.
