Help with VIN break down

I have a question regarding the VIN breakdown of my F3 (taken from the glove box door tag). Can someone tell me what the missing info. means?

The production date code follows the color code (N in this case). 18C could refer to March 18th, but what 302 refers to, I haven't a clue.

The VIN does read "R2" - my mistake. Thanks for the info!

This is a 52 right? I've never seen a serial number reported that high. I don't believe we have ever seen one with more than 5 characters and most are under 35000 - can't remember one being in the 40K's but I could be wrong.

The 302 has been reported as the number down the line OR the dso code OR ....

The DSO code is on the third line at the far right.

I found the following in the Standard Catalog of Light Duty Ford Trucks: F3D2 = Specific body code for an F3 on the 122" wheelbase.

It's possible Ford eliminated the F as it would have been redundant. F3D2 body codes are: Platform (80), Chassis & Cab (81), Express Pickup (83), Chassis & Cowl (84), Chassis & Windshield (85), Stake (86).
