Engine Quit on highway PT 2

Sorry, being new, I forgot to classify the truck. 1997 one ton flatbed 7.3 turbo powerstroke.
Traveling @ 60mph, engine @ operating temp, 40* ambient temp. The engine stopped running. Pulled over to the side and while I was slowing down in gear (drive {automatic} ) the engine restarted on it's own. Traveled additional 4 miles took the next exit and it stopped again. This time I started it on the first try climbed a short 12% grade but the engine struggeled. Not missing, but ran slightly, very slightly rough. Any thoughts?

I agree sounds like a cps issue. They go bad quite a bit. It never hurts to have a spare. Make sure you get a motorcraft or international one not a parts store one

Did the engine check light come on? I would get the codes even if it didn't come on.
