Thumbs up Diablo Chip, Sucks!

Installed my chip today. Diablo 54/78. All it does is cost $$ !!Rubber! , and God knows how much fuel I burnt , not to mention the fact that somebody could have lost there life running around these hills at 100 mph +++ . Believe it or not , I could tell it was a big deal as soon as I turned the key. I live three miles down a gravel road and crawled out of here at 10 mph as usual. I could just tell, it was happening! Then I hit black top!
S.O.B!!! . Befor ordering, I had a short conversation with Ken, explained my driving conditions and he's the Man.
Ken, Your the man! but your also in the dog house! Expect a call Monday morning!
I forgot to mention, (GAUGES FIRST!!!) I'm probably the worst for stuff like this but I made myself do it in order and I'm glad I did. I was RED LINE in a heart beat!!

Diablo Chip, Sucks!

I'm in month three with my Diablo now and I love it. One problem, the turbo puls so much more air now that the drop in K&N filter can't get the job done.
I changed my oil yesterday and found the air restriction gauge in the red. Thanks to the chip I gotta get a better intake.
But, I still love this chip, best dam mod yet.
Later,
Will-

Your subject line made my heart skip a beat!

And then I opened the post and read!

We've got the gauges and the mounts, just don't have them listed on the online store yet (you can call and I can set it up for you).

Diablo Chip, Sucks!

Be carefull with those diablo chips. I had on in my 2002 EC PSD DRW. I installed it when I only had 1500 miles on it. I was told that it wouldn't hurt anything. I loved the power and torque I was getting. I could lay rubber and go screaming up and down the highway at mach-1. The only mistake I made was not installing guages. I wound up burning up my turbo with only 24,000 miles on it. Then I didn't put the chip back in. And then some kind of oil pump went out. I hadn't had the chip in for like 5 months. I guess I weakened it. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND GUAGES AND 4" EXHAUST

There's no way a chip can impact the oil pump. Just because you have a problem doesn't mean its the chip (just look at all the issues on this board for non-chipped trucks). Or maybe your cam positioning sensor went bad, the Power Stroke notorious for that.
