All-in-one axle bearings?

I may need to replace the rear axle bearings in my 2001 E250. I came across these bearings - they appear to be an all-in-one design that includes the bearing and seal in one assembly. Have these been around for awhile? Anyone have any experience or recommendations concerning these? - Thanks

I believe I found the answer. This is a "repair bearing", design and intended use explained here:

Follow-up question.. Timken replacement bearing appears to have an inner race (shown below). OEM design has no inner race (also shown). What's the difference - will either design work? - Thanks
