My Kaspersky's been blocking a trojan every time I go to a new page on the site today. can provide more details if needed.
that would be helpful in trying to find where it is coming from and if it is the bug we are looking for.
if you could put in a service ticket with the info, the staff will look into it.
thanks
This is kind of funny actually, I started noticing this around yesterday afternoon, and then I made it so firefox blocked them every time they popped up.
I was actually coming to make a thread about it this morning... Because it's still happening to me.
And I have Charter Internet, Windows XP, and i'm using FireFox...
And yeah, yesterday as soon as they started popping up, I was like..... "Crap..." and was running virus scans.
I use Firefox also, and they started last night, this morning I blocked pop-ups from the site and it seems to be blocking them for the moment, I have Cablevision.
I was wondering how I was getting pop up's at all. I figured the pop up blocker should be blocking them. I finally checked it's configuration and realized I had ford-trucks.com in as an exception. Probably so I got pop up private message notifications and stuff.
So now I'm not getting the pop up's, but I'm still seeing the screen blinks as they are getting blocked. That's a little less annoying.
I wonder if the reason some people aren't seeing them, though, is because of the pop up blocker, not because of the ISP they are on. Just a thought.
That's true Tom, but most people trust FTE to not have ad pop-ups as a paid supporter and have them set to trusted, they do look like Spy-ware or Mal-ware attacking your browser.
I went into my pop up blocker options and turned off FTE as an allowable site,it is working so far, which is good because I was about to give myself a vacation from fte for a few days until they got it solved.
Using firebug I found that towards the top of the body there is a hidden iframe calling ads149.com and then 2 frames under that that both end up pointing to default.com. Hope that helps.
