Wierd noise
I have a 2000 f350 and here lately i have noticed a whistling/winning noise coming from the front of my truck. It sounds like it is coming from the passenger side but i can only hear it good when im rolling about 30-35 mph and let off the pedal and just coast. Right now most of you would say wheel bearing and i thought the same thing but the noise goes away if I shut the truck off and coast. Its not my turbo, i can slightly hear it at idle but not enough to figure out what it is. Have any of ya'll ever had anything like this. Thanks Justin

anyone have any ideas about this noise? i can hear it really good if im rolling 30mph and let off the throttle and it gradually gets quieter as the truck slows down. but i can also slightly hear it at idle. i can only hear it on the passenger side of the truck.

I always find it helpful to troubleshoot a noise from the engine area by using a length of rubber hose, like heater hose .. Put one end of it onto your ear and the other end to the area of the noise, such as idle pulley, tensioner pulley, etc.. while idling..
