Do a search on "ZERO START" They make block heaters for everything. They also make a heavy duty cord set. We use these on our class 6 and class 8 trucks.

A company called Kussmaul makes plugs that will auto-eject when the starter engages. They have spring loaded covers as well. We don't have any issues with these, but our firetrucks are parked indoors.

I was thinking along the same lines. If someone is messing around my truck they need to be and probly will be zapped or worse. All said and done they would rather be zapped by the plug

Here is the part number for the chrome Zero Start receptacle. It may help in the search. And this is the LINK to Zero Start 93 page PDF application chart.

LIke some of you, I also had a problem with the Marinco plug cover coming loose after some time.

I fixed it by putting a little RTV on my finger and running it around the inside circumference of the plug where the covers lip "trys" to grip.

You're essentially building up that area and the covers lip now has a smaller opening to fit into.

Has worked great these past couple of months.

Just don't get any on the electrical prongs. Ask me how I know.
