replace 1996 Explorer Headlight
Seems my headlights have cataracts... the plastic lens has yellowed.
I just bought the replacement headlight housings for my 1996 Ford Explorer. I have been searching for the best way to remove the whole thing and replace.
Any suggestions or instructions?.

replace 1996 Explorer Headlight
Here is procedure for 91-95. Your 96 should be somewhat similar.
1. Remove the top plastic cover between the radiator support frame and grille area to allow access from top.
2. Pinch and release the grille latches and remove the grille center peice (it just snaps in from front).
3. Remove the screws that anchor the headlight support assembly and remove it.
4. Transfer any park lens assy from old to new headlamp assy, and re-install all in reverse.
5. Set the headlamp aim when finished. Piece of cake.
