Since you are going with the stock front end personally I would say the Toyota box; if they are available in the Netherlands, other than the pitman arm and bracket to mount the box there isn't any fab brication to do; well not exactly you will need to mate-up your hoses to the box. I used the powersteering pump that went with my engine I just had to take my high pressure hose to a shop and had them put the Toyota end on my Ford hose.
Why not think about an aerostar ifs,you could have disc brakes,
rack & pinion steering & it could be power too & it is all ford
I heard that it is an easy installation
The power steering unit is from a 1980-84 Toyota 4X4. Not sure there is a whole lot more to tell ya from a "type" stand point. It works with a straight axle system.
Have a look at my Gallery for Toyota Steering. I have an F-1 but the install is the same.
Good Luck
Great info and pics. This is just what I needed to get going on my '48 panel again. I have everything but the non-available bracket. Off to get some 2" flat stock drops and get busy. Thanks for your post.
