Goodbye to friends!

After being here now for the last year, I have decided that all good things must come to an end.

New commitments, namely an intense project that builds on much of what I learned about diesels in here, is about to go into high gear.

I have met many knowledgeable people on here, and in particular, enjoyed probably the best "foxhole level" view of how difficult it is for the manufacturers, regulators, and customers to deliver a good product for this market.

Perhaps the most valuable thing, is to see with my own eyes, how much of a gulf there is between the engineers and scientists, and the users, technicians, and staff at the dealership and zone managers level.

How difficult indeed it is to move a technology that have been around in various forms for over a century forward.

What I leaned from this exercise totally convinced me that petroleum, or specifically, gasoline and diesels, will be with us for well into this century.

If we are having that much trouble with a very established technology, I shudder to think of the problems that emerging technologies (such as liquid ammonia) is going to bring.

Without much more ado -- let me say thanks to everyone who have helped me learn in a year and change, knowledge that was accumulated over person decades.

Bismic, Cheezit, M-Chan and others!

It was my honor to have learned from you.

Thanks for the gift!

Best,

I can be reached at g i ft gas (zero the number) at ggggeee mail dot calm!

(delete spaces, type it out properly)

Thanks again!

Signing off for the last time.

PS A request was made to IB Tim to delete this account permanently.

I don't want to be tempted to return!

Best,

As Tim mentioned, we do not delete accounts. Best policy is knowing when to push the keyboard away. Take care.

Yes he did. But I understand. I got obsessed with another forum and nearly 6k posts in a year (not sure how active he was for the 1st 4 years) qualifies this site as a serious time vampire for him. Gonna miss him.
