just an idea

What would everyone think about monthly meeting somewhere.

Obviously there are a lot of people in the chapter, but that doesn't mean that we can't get together in different spots either. I would say it didn't matter what you even drove there, just an open invite to come and hang out and shoot the breeze. Just a way to toss back a couple beers and solve the worlds problems. Kick around ideas for official GTG's.

I would have to stress the offical GTG's that we would drive our Fords and show em off a little.

I could even see everyone gathering around a picnic table in the summer and grilling at someones place, bring a dish to pass kinda thing.

I don't know, what does anyone else think?

Rich

William, you may have tried this a year or 2 ago that doesn't mean that it can't happen now. With you being so negative its a wonder you get anything done in a days time. It seem lately that anything anyone posts here you have a comment that is less than supportive. Maybe that is the reason Pat has taken the position of Chapter Leader? not bashing but open your eyes. You know I consider you a friend, but running down ideas on the first comment is uncalled for.

I wanted input from others, trying to get open lines of communication going.

We can have these anywhere anybody wants to go and set them up. There are quite a few down by me. But there are also a lot up north. I am not opposed to driving north every now and then to get together with everyone I can.

Like I stated this is not an official GTG, just members of the chapter getting together. Put a post up and see how many might be available and interested to meet up and hang out. It can only make the chapter stronger than it is now.

Now, lets use this as a thread of ideas of where people that want to meet up and hang out can get together and do so.

New user here and I would guess that there are new users all the time. I am just learning about all the ins and outs of owning a diesel and would love to see a regular get together. I may not make one a month, I have way to much going on, between work , kids, wife, chores, and church but once a quarter or a semiannual basis might work.

Obviously, more lead time the better.

Thanks,
Bill.

Since I have not reached 25 posts my sig does not appear so here goes
2005 F350 4X4 srw, ccsb, lariat, 6.0diesel, no mods that I know of. (Still looking)

Perhaps we get the list of the who, find a place the averages out in the middle. I see a good portion of us are here in the South East corner, but that doesnt say they are the most active participants. So we if we base it on the whos, we can find a happy middle?

I think from the last GTG, that we are going in the right direction. I was just sitting here thinking that if the new people(or older members) would like the ability to hang out for an afternoon or what ever.

This will not take the place of the planned GTG's that we have discussed. Obviously come one, come all. I was just thinkin it would be great for people to get together. Heck if Torr or Andrew wants to set something up in the norht west, and someone else has something else going on in the southeast, they can happen at the same time. It's not that formal in my mind.

First off whats wrong with down state I live here and it is just as good as up there.

now Rich thats a good idea. I for one do not not mind driving to meet up
with friends. Finding some place in the middle would help with the drive.

William. get with it you are a friend with me also. Anything the group can
think of to get together is good. It`s time to put the past in the past and.
enjoy things.
