I'll chime in, my name is Jason, medford is home, I've been driving the truck in my avatar/sig just over a year now (about 16K miles). Looking forward to getting my new 78 F-250 4x4 on the road so I can clean up a few nagging oil leaks and such on the old Cummins.

I came from an 04 F-250 4x4 with a 6.0 diesel, what a pile! It was at the dealer more than it was in my driveway, but I got hooked on diesel power.

My step dad had/has a 79 F-250 4x4 when I met him (he came over to take out my mom), I learned to drive in that truck, and liked them ever since. You're a daisy if you can spot the typo.

Now if I could just find a cheap supercab F-250 4x4 my collection would be complete.

Hey bendog I would sure like to see that cummins monster you built sometime. My son plans to drop one in an 87 when he gets to his duty station after boot camp.

Hey Bendog, my wife is bugging me to make my 76 F250 into a crew cab. I do not know if it would work on my frame or not.

Here's the thread, I lost a few pictures, but have started replacing them, I'll try to get them all back soon. If you're ever planning on being down medford way, shoot me a P.M., we can have a cold one and talk trucks. Old Ford Crew Cab Community, Pre 1980 Ford Crew Cab owners community and information source.

Bertha, If you have a crew frame, cab, rear doors, and some interior parts, your reg cab stuff will mostly bolt right on. A super cab long bed is within an inch of a shortbed crew cab wheelbase, some have used the eaiser to find super cab chassis to convert a 2wd crew into a 4wd.

Please dont make some odd short wheelbase abortion by plopping a crew cab cab onto a reg cab chassis and shortening the bed.
