Help with oil pump replacement.
I'm in the process of changing the oil pump on my '88 F350 w/ 351. I lifted the engine but was only able to lift it about 1". I don't feel like this is enough room for me to do the job. So I dropped the engine back down and began to remove the intake plenum. I can't get this thing out! How in the world do you get to those rear bolts? I can't see them and I can't fit my hands back there!
Any tips on getting this thing out? I don't feel like I can do the oil pump with the minimal amount of engine lift I'm getting but maybe I'm wrong?

some people have said its almost easier to unbolt the transmission and exhaust and pull the motor straight up...never tried it the intake way but its pretty easy to pull bellhousing bolts and exhaust.
