Exhaust manifolds and Up-Pipes (everything is leaking... and it STINKS in cab w/ heat on)
HPOP (currently in the works... thanks Craig and Joey!)
RW 1's
Injector Cups
More gauges
Re-burned chip
OIL PAN OIL PAN OIL PAN! Did I mention oil pan??
Total is right around $3K

Will be pulling the engine this spring and doing all of the above. There a good set of directions around here for pulling these motors? Engine stand rated to 1000lbs enough or should I go more for safety?
Rob thats a good list too, good time period. thats what i need a time period haha, it would be asap if i won the lotto.

Sounds real cool in theory dont know if i would use pistons that have had material removed for valve clearence but other than that it sounds cool and less than $10k
Ken that looks freaking awesome, but thats just cheating i gotta build it myself for it to mean something to me, but i may take that engine and put in one of my dads 67 stangs.

you would put a black mamba in a 67 stang? that would be funny as hell. they dont make a mustang front end that would support the weight of a powerstroke. (do they?) but if they did... those 4.6 mod motors get a ton more power with 1/3 the weight. can you say twin turbo?

Idk my dad has 2 red 67 stangs just sitting by the barn rottin away so it would be an awesome project. and there is probably no way in he!! that the frames could support it, i could put a 429 in it but not a 7.3(444 ci) that weights what 300-400 pounds more lol. even if it did u would probably have to put a couple hundred pounds in the trunk just to keep the nose off the ground haha. and a hood stock would be a must lol, a coal rolling stang

the big thing for me is cut pistons. I'm no expert mechanic but I think this is a cheesy idea especially with the compression of a diesel motor. I would like to know if anyone has used this motor and their thoughts about it. some real world dyno results would be cool. it sure looks pretty.

I think if money were no object. then i would do a frame off bolt by bolt restoration of the entire truck. not that its even remotely close to needing it. but you know what they say about a fool and his money... so I would surely clean and powder coat the frame and go from there.

Ken, cutting pistons for valve reliefs is actually a good thing to do. Have you ever seen the valve to piston clearance of a STOCK 7.3L PSD? It is very very close. Any valve float and the valve will hit the piston. Worn springs will also allow them to hit.... So, it's nice to cut the pistons so that IF you do get valve float or a cam that is a bit more radical you won't have pistons hitting the valves all the time. Valve reliefs don't do much to lower compression either. The major compression deciding factor for us is the bowls of the pistons. You can do work on the bowls to allow you to run more timing, but that will lower compression so you have to cut the head and possibly deck the block to gain some of that back, now you need valve reliefs since you just put the valves closer to the piston..

Looks like I was the victor!!! LOL. On your wish list. A lot of those things can be had at much less expense... I'd have to take more time to type out which parts, but the injectors and stuff can be had cheaper by sending Jim your injectors for the stage 1 upgrade.

If you get new plunger and barrel assemblies and keep your stock nozzles, you can get stage 1's for $850, if you get new nozzles and keep your stock plunger/barrel assemblies you can get stage 1's OR stage 2's for $885.. Tip, only get what is needed. If your plunger/barrel assemblies are still good for awhile, keep them. Thats if you want to save some money and your parts are in good shape..

Ok i know what the nozzles are but have no idea what the plunger and barrels are on the injectors. i guess i really need to read up some more on engine parts lol.
