Perhaps the cig fell into his lap and just managed to fall directly into the open bottle of JD and 'poof' his pants were on fire...
Thankfully the 'pleather' seats help to extinguish the fire before it became more than just a 'light' fire...

I'm going to guess it was from a bad stereo install.
