oil draining?

I have an 06 6.0 that I just put injectors into. Got it put back together enough to fire it up. Turn the key on, let the glow plugs cycle, then try to start after the glow plugs are done. I let it crank for about 10 seconds then turn the key to "off" turn the key back on and let the glow plugs cycle and try to start again. after about 4 seconds cranking it fires up and idles like a champ(a 6.0 champ at least ) I got my brothers Snap On scanner and noticed it is taking a while for the icp to build oil pressure. Is there a check valve in the oil system that is letting the oil drain back? Is there something Im missing?

There is a Ford TSB out on how long / how much work it is to purge oil from system once you open it up.

Takes a few fast runs, etc.. not an instant process.

Give it time.
