79 4x4 steering column build
I am building a 79 F250 4x4 and someone destroyed the column. Cut sheet metal and destroyed all but the inner shaft.
I took the column out of my 73 4x2. If I disassemble it and use the inner shaft from the 79, will it fit? The 73 4x2 column is mint. What else should I do? Turn signal switch...

Update
Ok, Here is what I did.
79 F250 4x4 steering column from parts truck that was trashed
73 f100 4x2 steering column Perfect
Pulled center shaft from 79 column
pulled center shaft from 73 column
installed 79 shaft in 73 column and reinstalled
used 79 steering shaft(will replace later with collapsible shaft)
Works fine.
