engine rebuild time

I have torn down my extra 59ab motor to find .060 pistons. Can I take this motor to .080? My 47 flatbed now has its 8.8 ford rear end in it now and once this motor is rebuilt I will swap it out for the original in the truck.(oil in antifreeze now hopefully just a head gasket on that motor) What is the best set up in everyones experience that will be reliable and make some power. This is my daily driver now so I don't need a drag truck, but a little extra power is always fun. Thanks for the info all.

these engines are routinely bored .125 over so .080 should not be an issue. a 4" crank with your stock heads would be a good combo for a daily driver

Awesome I think the crank i pulled out of this motor is a 4 merc. It has a dimple in the conter weight. This motor was a ford rebuilt unit originally, I got this motor with my truck when I bought it (bonus). The main bearings had a date of 56 on them. Behind the flywheel there is orange paint? Was kind of suprised to see orange and not blue or green?

Anyone know where I can get a good 59AB block?
