Angry need help clutch issues

i have a 1995 f-150 4x4 4.9l inline 6 cylinder with an m5od manual tranny..friday night the rod from the clutch master cylinder broke where it attach's to the pedal..i orderd a new master but it will take a few days to get here..but i had an extra laying around so i pulled the rod off of it and put it on mine..i pulled the master cylinder completely out of the truck to do so..it did have pessure before i did this..the rod worked but now that its back in it wont build pressure we tried to bleed it for 20 mins but it wouldnt even take the fluid the level never lowerd and when i would press the clutch in the fluid level wouldnt rise either..what should i do?

I have always been told that if you pull the rod out of one once you put it in, it will mess it up. But dont quote me on that, like i said that is just what i have heard.
