i dont buy into any of that fancy plug crap. its almost all a gimmick
I had it recommended by two professional engine builders. I have read numerous owners rave about it on the 4.9 forum.
But of course you don't like the new fangled twist top beers either, do you?
Before I condemn or blindly approve, I research. Then, if the research sways me, I try it myself to see. I find the old saying very valuable: 'Minds are like parachutes. They only work when open.'
lets see in all the spark plug test I have seen on actual dyno's the most I have ever seen change was about 5hp MAX. That is within the margin of error and disconnecting your altenator will gain you the same amount. So hows that for kick in the pants?
And as noted they do NOT last as long.
I have used them on race only motors but honest numbers say you will get as much gain by indexing your plugs.
This is another of those tricks for use when ever hp counts and your looking to shave .001 seconds of your ET. Don't do much for real life street driven trucks. It can also hurt on some of the FI stuff (bosch platinum +4 made a 1997 F150 with a 4.6 go from 17mpg to 13 and returned to 17 when they were replaced with autolite standard platinum plugs 2 months later)
