I found a donor for my 56, Visually its a 351W, Ichecked all the basics,
valve cover bolt pattern, t-stat housing location, firing order ect.
But the 8th vin# digit is an H. This is an 83 Bronco w/ 4bbl.would this be a 351 HO ? I was wanting a Windsor, If it is an HO, any concerns about
using it for a builder ? Thanks
The 351 HO motors of that vintage were clearly identified as such on the lid of the air cleaner. There really isn't much different about them from a regular 'ole 351W other than the 4 bbl carb and intake. They are just as good a core for a buildup as anything else. The heads that came on them weren't the greatest, though.
